How can you be sure that when you fill up your car, you do actually get the amount of fuel the pump says. Isle of Wight Council’s Trading Standards service regularly carries out tests on petrol pumps across the Island.

Learner drivers will be allowed to have driving lessons on motorways under plans announced by Mike Penning, road safety minister, which will come into force next year. The change would enable learner drivers to undergo training on a motorway but only if accompanied by a qualified driving instructor.
