HUNDREDS of people took part in the West Wight Triathlon this year, with many of them raising money for charity. Paul Topping and ‘team IW Radio’ also took part to raise money for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. The endurance event took place at West Wight Sports Centre.
The £6m state of the art Haylands Primary School in Ryde on the Isle of Wight has been officially opened and is now being used by pupils. Construction on the school began in September 2011 and was finished on time and on budget.
Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Eric Pickles MP visited the Isle of Wight on 26 September 2012. This Ice house was situated in the grounds of a grand house (Fernhill) that burnt to the ground in 1938. It now remains by a woodland footpath on the Isle Of Wight. A nice little reminder of what once was.
